Dear friends and fellow bowlers,
I am very honoured to have been elected to the post of President of the N.C.B.A. (Three-a-side) for the year 2011.
I start with thanking members of my club, Hirst Park, for nominating me as Junior Deputy President. In 2009 and for their support over the past 16 years. I also express my thanks to John Slaughter and Ernie Kirkup for their support and guidance during my terms as Junior Deputy and Deputy President's
I am looking forward to the new season and my continued involvement with the Adams Team and support of the Newton Team. Unfortunately we had to withdraw the U25 Team due to insufficient eligible, however, it is gratifying that a number are playing at Senior level.
I am hoping that I will be able to visit as many clubs as possible, during the season, seeing old faces and, hopefully, some new ones.
I take this opportunity to wish my fellow bowlers good fortune, be it in team or individual competitions, Indoors or Outdoors, every success in the new season, also to those that are fortunate enough to go on to
represent the County at Newark and Skegness.
Finally, lets hope that, during the season, the sun shines every day so that the waterproofs stay in the bowls bag.
I wish you all good health, good fortune and good bowling
Archie Byrne President 2011
